Themes

Themes control public markup, layout, typography, color modes, and the presentation of content and plugin fragments. Changing a theme does not rewrite stored content.

tinymash comes with seven public themes:

  • Baseline: general-purpose publishing
  • Blocks: grids and featured content
  • DocsMatter: documentation and hierarchical pages
  • Panel Magazine: magazine presentation with a fixed identity panel
  • Scribe: long-form reading
  • Terminal: terminal-inspired presentation without Bootstrap
  • Timeline: chronological archives

The root site selects a public theme under System > Themes. Author spaces inherit the site theme by default and can select another installed public theme under Profile > Appearance when author overrides are allowed. Settings marked for author override can inherit the site value or use an author-space value.

Theme capabilities differ. Check the active theme settings for supported sidebars, banners, listing styles, content widths, featured images, author identity, color behavior, and other presentation options. Settings for an inactive theme are retained, so switching back restores its previous configuration.
