Timeline
Timeline is intended for blogs, release streams, work logs, and archives where publication order is the main structure.
Timeline listings
Blogroll and author-home listings use a vertical date rail. Adjacent entries published on the same date share one date marker. Sticky posts appear as Pinned outside the dated rail and do not change the chronology of the entries that follow.
Tags are omitted from the timeline listing to keep the archive readable. Full entries can still show tags when tag display is enabled.
Featured thumbnails can appear in the main timeline without being visibly enlarged beyond their rendered source. Search and tag result lists remain simpler and do not use timeline featured images.
Full entries and pages
The date rail belongs to listings. Full posts and pages use a conventional reading layout, and a post’s featured image is not automatically repeated above its body.
Previous and next navigation follows the shared publishing-space rules. Page navigation, breadcrumbs, and child-page lists remain available independently of the timeline.
Settings
Timeline includes:
- blogroll or static-page site home
- content width, defaulting to Reading and available as an author-space override
- Sans-serif or Serif publication titles
- primary and footer menu placement
- Search, tag display, and local syntax highlighting
- flat, card-tree, or disabled page navigation
- fallback navigation depth, breadcrumbs, and child-page lists
The title-style setting changes identity and publication titles. Date markers, metadata, body text, navigation, controls, and plugin output retain their normal fonts.
Site and author banners, public backgrounds, sidebar fragments, footer fragments, and Custom CSS follow the shared theme contracts.
